Far ahead of their time, his parents already took health matters very seriously and relied on a consistent program for the food in their hotel business. Inspired by the company's activity and, as a keen observer of our society, indignant about its growing problems, Andreas Wilfinger developed the desire for change: "For example, if I had read about carcinogenic substances that are ingredients in our daily food or skincare, or about obesity and diabetes even in children, it became all the more clear to me that I wanted something different for our world."

He founded RINGANA together with a team of experts who caught the spark of this idea. Dressed in white, starched coats, they began to test the recipes with a kitchen blender in a small lab. The first products were developed within three years. Three years marked by hard work, a great deal of idealism and many insights, which were finally rewarded by the success of a completely new mode of thinking in skincare: Freshness cosmetics.
