In most cases, a simple paper band is enough to display the obligatory details about a skin care product. RINGANA has already dispensed with unnecessary packaging for many of its products.
Less is more. Whenever we print something, we ask ourselves whether it’s really necessary to do so, and in what way we can spare valuable resources such as paper or card. That’s why for lots of our fresh skin care products, the ingredients are shown on paper bands, and we can completely do without additional wrapping. However, there are various reasons why we cannot dispense with certain printed items. These include their protective function during transport, and the necessary labelling required by law.
Recycling material
When choosing our packaging, it’s important to us both that our high-quality products remain undamaged during shipping and that the packaging causes little environmental harm.
REcycle: RINGANA shipping cartons are made of 100% recycled material so their manufacture needs 83% less energy and produces 74% less CO2.
Cradle to Cradle
More and more of our printed products, such as our Product Guide, are certified to the world’s highest eco-printing standard: Cradle to CradleTM. All material produced from the manufacture and recycling of a product can be reused (again) for other productions, whereby there are no negative impacts on humans, animals or the environment.
Certified paper
We see the two paper certifications – FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) and PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) – as the minimum standard for green print products. These certificates are awarded by non-profit organisations who advocate the worldwide improvement of forestry management, responsible consumption and permanent conservation.
Digital saves paper
Our most important printed items – the RINGANA Product Guide and the RINGANA Magazine (2 issues per year) – are, of course, also available in digital form. If you would like to “leaf” through the paperless version, you can do so here.
