Our cosmetic products can be kept unopened for approximately 6 months after production. After opening, we guarantee the quality for 10 weeks (see also description in the product guide).
An exception is the RINGANA FRESH soap (soap) with a shelf life of 18 months. The RINGANA PACKS and CAPS as well as the RINGANA matcha tea can be kept unopened for about 12 months after production.
Our RINGANAchi_ _ and RINGANAdea_ _ are smoothies and therefore have a much shorter shelf life (12 weeks) than PACKS or CAPS, which contain no water.
At the time of sale, we guarantee the following minimum shelf life for:
RINGANA CAPS, PACKS, matcha tea and cosmetics: 4 months
RINGANAchi_ _ and dea_ _:4 weeks
RINGANA FRESH soap: 8 months
These shelf life indications represent roughly the minimum quality life of the products, these do not necessarily mean that the products must no longer be used from that date.
Each batch of our products (cosmetics and nutritional supplements) is visually and sensory tested after production. In addition, the products are subjected to microbiological controls. The parameters and limits values vary depending on the product group. Products such as our FRESH eye serum have to meet stricter criteria than, for example, RINGANA FRESH foot balm.
The products, which are marked with the logo of the Cologne List® (RINGANA SPORT boost, RINGANA SPORT push, CAPS move), also undergo a special program: analyses for Anabolic Steroids and Stimulants are carried out by an internationally leading and independent scientific laboratory specialising in the analysis of dietary supplements for doping substances.
Monitoring (random sample control) continuously determines various contaminants (e.g. heavy metals, mycotoxins, etc.) as well as contents of various substances (e.g. caffeine content in RINGANA chi, vitamins, minerals, etc.).
Are the quantities and composition of PACKS being controlled?
In contrast to many other dietary supplements, the effectiveness of the PACKS is mainly due to the complex interaction of various plant substances.
At regular intervals, a representative of the Food Authority takes samples from the individual PACKS for inspection.
Examination protocols can, of course, not be published since they contain the exact recipes.
RINGANA PACKS are subject to the Food Act and are approved throughout the EU. Higher doses are not permitted.
PACKS and CAPS are additionally tested by the renowned German LEFO institute – according to the applicable European law and according to even stricter German law. This ensures the correct dosage, correct labelling and the very high quality of each individual product.

ORIGIN OF CREATINE – The raw material Creapure® Citrate (creatine citrate) is obtained by a patented manufacturing process. The brand raw material is premium quality and is manufactured in Germany.
Creatine is found in metabolically active areas such as muscles, heart and brain. To compensate the daily break-down of creatine, our body synthesized a portion while another portion is absorbed from food. Creatine is naturally found in animal products (meat and fish). Creapure® Citrate is a vegan alternative, which is manufactured by a safe, synthetic procedure with high purity and is considered nature-identical.
If a product is described as iso-, hypo- or hypertonic, the ready-to-drink product has a corresponding osmolality. Osmolality is a unit of measurement of how many particles (e.g. sodium, chloride, glucose, etc.) per mass of solvent (here: water) are osmotically active, i.e. can pass through a passage like the cell membrane. Human blood has an osmolality of 280-330 mOsm/kg. Depending on whether the drink has the same, a higher or a lower concentration of these dissolved particles as the human blood, it is called isotonic, hypertonic or hypotonic.
Mixed with 600 ml of water, the RINGANA SPORT boost isotonic drink can be drunk half an hour before, during or after physical activity. It provides the athlete with an optimal supply for long-lasting performance.
The sophisticated product formula provides pure energy in the form of carbohydrates. Ringana does not rely on a single carbohydrate for its energy supply, but on an extraordinary combination of carbohydrates with different chain lengths.
RINGANA SPORT boost combines quickly available energy in the form of dextrose with (more) slowly metabolised carbohydrates such as highly branched cyclic dextrin (Cluster Dextrin®), maltodextrin and palatinose, which ensure lasting strength during high-level sports performance. The special feature of the highly branched cyclic dextrin is its short retention time in the stomach and its rapid absorption in the circulation. Compared to other carbohydrates, Cluster Dextrin® reduces flatulence and eructation. Not only are carbohydrates essential for endurance training, but also branched-chain amino acids (L-leucine, L-isoleucine and L-valine known as BCAAs) motivate the athlete to achieve maximum personal performance. BCAAs, produced on a fermentative basis and easily soluble in water, provide energy even during intense sports activity and prevent muscle degeneration.
RINGANA SPORT boost offers even more: creatine. Creatine contributes to the muscles’ energy supplies and can help increase your exercise intensity. Creatine increases physical performance during Speed Strength Training, which is of intense and short physical activity. The contained coconut water has a rehydrating and thirst-quenching effect and provides the athlete with valuable minerals. It is the ideal ingredient to provide the body what is lost through sweating. The salt replenishes salt reserves and compensates for the loss of electrolytes. The ingestion of all these selected ingredients is made even more pleasant by the refreshing taste of pineapple and lemon.
Due to the special properties of individual ingredients, RINGANA CAPS may discolour and/or appearance of stains. Such changes are of natural origin and do not mean any loss of quality; the CAPS can still be consumed without hesitation.
Under current legislation, the listing of nutritional tables for food supplements is not mandatory. Since RINGANA PACKS and DRINKS contain significant amounts of the listed substances (proteins, carbohydrates, carbohydrates, etc.), those are specified on all printed forms. As for RINGANA CAPS, the amount of the substances such as calorific values, fat, saturated fatty acid, carbohydrates, sugar, protein and salt are so negligible that the nutritional tables have been therefore omitted.
Certain plant extracts tend to attract moisture which can cause the powder to harden and/or discolour. To keep the RINGANA CAPS dry, the CAPS silica gel desiccant bags are inserted to absorb the excess of moisture.
What are our CAPS’ shells made of?
The CAPS’ shell consists of polymer hydroxy-propyl-methyl-cellulose or HPMC made of wood cellulose fibres. HPMC acts in the human body like a dietary fibre and can be consumed without hesitation or restriction. Furthermore, HPMC is vegan, free of preservatives and allergens.
How can L-carnitine be vegan when it is present in muscles?
L-carnitine is a compound of the amino acid lysine and methionine. The two amino acids are produced “nature identical” and are therefore vegan.
NADH is produced biotechnologically.
Polyunsaturated fatty acids such as DHA and EPA are particularly susceptible to oxidation and all fats which contain these fatty acids oxidize over time. In such a case where the oil is rich in EPA and DHA, the development of a fishlike smell and taste is often the result. Nonetheless, based on a number of studies, this has no influence on your health or the effectiveness of the fatty acids. In addition, RINGANA regularly has parameters checked that indicate the oxidation state of the RINGANA caps omega 3 vegiplus and thus guarantees its quality.
The oil obtained from microalgae is an alternate vegan source of omega-3 fatty acids compared to the traditionally used of fish oils. Fat-rich fish contain a naturally high concentration of essential omega-3 fatty acids, as microalgae, which is abundant in omega-3, are their main food source.
In addition to the polyunsaturated fatty acid DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), the oil obtained from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp. Contains also the fatty acid EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid). DHA and EPA belong to the omega-3 fatty acids and are essential for humans.
EPA and DHA contribute to the normal functioning of the heart. A positive effect occurs with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
Sunflower oil is added to the components of DHA- and EPA-rich oil from microalgae. This ensures that the level of omega-3 fatty acids is standardised. Due to the nutritional added value of the oleic acid it contains, we have also listed sunflower oil in the list of ingredients.
Reactive oxygen species trigger oxidation and destruction processes as they are able to disrupt almost every metabolic pathway in the body. As a result, aging processes are accelerated as well as fats, proteins and even our DNA are attacked and damaged. Although our body has protective and repair mechanisms to break down reactive oxygen species and repair damage that has already occurred, the relationship between oxidants and antioxidants can be greatly altered by various factors such as: an unhealthy lifestyle (cigarette consumption, stress, etc.), environmental factors (toxins, sunlight, etc.), increasing age, etc. This imbalance that promotes oxidative conditions is called oxidative stress and plays a role or is regarded as a trigger for a multitude of diseases and aging processes.
Examples of diseases that are related to oxidative stress are diseases of the cardiovascular system, fat metabolism diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases, degenerative and neurodegenerative diseases, eye diseases, skin aging (e.g. optical aging, reduced barrier function), erectile dysfunction, liver diseases and many others. In addition, oxidative stress caused by damage or mutation of hereditary factors is also thought to have an influence on tumor formation.
Antioxidants can counteract oxidative stress and serve to control and slow down the formation of free radicals or reactive oxygen compounds as well as to repair existing damage. For example, damaged macromolecules, such as oxidised DNA, can be repaired or, as in the case of oxidised proteins, degraded. In this process, antioxidants are consumed and must therefore be regenerated and re-produced by the organism or assimilated through food.
Examples of such antioxidants are various compounds such as glutathione, enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), vitamins (vitamin C, vitamin E, carotenoids), phytochemicals (eg: polyphenols), minerals that serve as cofactors (selenium, zinc, copper) and many more.
The Food Information Regulation (EU Regulation 1169/2011) lists 14 main main allergens that can cause allergies or intolerances in some people.
These substances include gluten-containing cereals, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soybeans, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame seeds, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, lupines and molluscs.
Ingredients, processing aids and associated derivatives which contain one of these 14 substances must be clearly stated and emphasised.
RINGANA products are regularly checked for the presence of the above-mentioned substances. RINGANA declares the presence of allergenic ingredients in accordance with the aforementioned regulation and emphasises these in compliance with the law.
One example is the turmeric phospholipid complex (turmeric extract and soya lecithin). Soya lecithin is part of the phospholipid complex, which is responsible for the bioavailability of turmeric. In order to inform people with allergies to soy, the word soy is therefore clearly highlighted (e.g. in bold).
People have different sensitivity levels and react differently to different food components. One example is histamine.
The histamine content varies depending on the food and the particular harvest. In addition, each person reacts differently to it. As such, we cannot provide any information on the RINGANA Supplements regarding histamine intolerance or other special food intolerances.

RINGANA attaches great importance to the use of ingredients of natural origin and to the delicate processing of our ingredients – with the aim of leaving them as natural as possible. In this way, all the valuable ingredients can develop their natural effectiveness.
In order to get the best out of the raw materials through extraction and concentration, they are carefully dried, fermented, distilled, extracted, etc.
Examples of extraction
In order to extract particularly active natural substances, plants, fungi or algae are mixed with mild solvents. Depending on the solubility of the active substances, different solvents such as water, ethanol or CO2 are selected. The resulting extract is either used directly in its liquid form or dried, grounded into a powder form. Other selected examples are vitamin E from vegetable oils, astaxanthin from blood rain algae (Haematococcus pluvialis), lutein (from marigold blossoms) and many more.
Examples of fermentation
During fermentation, organic substances are converted with the aid of microorganisms or enzymes. The aim is for example to achieve special bioavailability or to obtain certain active substances. Carbohydrates often serve as the starting substances for fermentation. Examples are vitamin K2 (with the help of bacteria), hyaluronic acid (with the help of bacteria), coenzyme Q10 (with the help of yeasts), enzymatically fermented guar fiber (with the help of enzymes), various amino acids (with the help of bacteria) and many more.
Natural cosmetics labels such as ECOCERT and COSMOS provide precise guidelines as to which substances may be used. Although the principles of green chemistry are used as a basis, the substances can be produced in the laboratory, but always in accordance to environmentally friendly and sustainable principles.
The use of Coco-glucosides, also known as sugar surfactants, are permitted in various natural cosmetic standards, although the substance does not exist in this form in nature. However, the raw materials, vegetable oil and sugar, are natural and so are the production steps.
The same applies to soap, which has been produced by humans for thousands of years. It can not be found in nature and has always been produced by humans from oil, lye and salt.
RINGANA has imposed very strict criteria on itself for the use of raw materials. We demand maximum success and effectiveness with the greatest possible conservation of resources. In some cases, however, the effectiveness of the substance can take priority over naturalness / sustainability. In that situation each specific case is assessed individually and the use of “nature identical” raw materials may be accepted, if necessary.
“Nature-identical” refers to substances that have been “copied” or synthesized to have the same structure as their naturally occurring counterparts. The desired substance is produced from various starting compounds on the basis of its natural model (= synthesis).
RINGANA uses nature-identical raw materials if the extraction of the natural substance is unacceptable to us for various reasons. Here are some reasons for favouring nature-identical substances: the use of raw materials that are originally obtained from animal components, unsustainable and environmentally damaging manufacturing processes, etc.

These amino acids or related substances are generated by the human body and have countless positive effects on health in the form of food supplements. Since these elements are not found in plants and their extraction from animals is not ethically acceptable and technically impractical for us, RINGANA uses the nature-identical substances.
Calcium citrate, magnesium citrate:
These two mineral salts are also present in plants, but in extremely small quantities. Since no organic calcium and magnesium salts extracted from nature are available worldwide, RINGANA uses nature-identical raw materials here as well. Calcium and magnesium are extracted from rock (dolomite, limestone, etc.) and combined with citric acid (produced fermentatively from sugar) so that calcium citrate and magnesium citrate result as nature-identical mineral salts.
One such substance in cosmetics, for example, is urea (INCI: urea), which can be produced via atmospheric nitrogen and is regarded as an excellent moisturizing factor for the skin. It does exist naturally, however its extraction from natural sources would not be particularly aesthetic.
Phenethyl alcohol, also known as rose alcohol, is found in nature in many essential oils such as rose oil, but it is usually produced nature-identically, as it is much more profitable and resource-conserving than the natural component of essential oils.

How are magnesium and calcium citrate used in the RINGANA PACKS obtained?
To produce citrates, sugar from vegetable sources is fermented to citric acid which then reacts with the mineral, thus resulting is a bioavailable source of calcium and magnesium. The production of these mineral compounds takes place under the highest quality standards in Europe.
The citrates are used in the RINGANA PACKS. In addition to calcium and magnesium citrate, PACK balancing also contains calcium from barley grass juice, Alfalfa, Chlorella powder and magnesium from Chlorella and Alfalfa powder. In many RINGANA CAPS, such as CAPS move, the calcium alga Lithothamnium calcareum is used. Due to the high surface area and the diverse minerals it contains, this calcium form is also highly bioavailable. Since calcium and magnesium are also consumed together in foods, it makes sense to combine calcium and magnesium in dietary supplements if you want to supplement your diet and increase your body’s vital substance levels.
Gluten is generally not to be expected in the raw materials used in RINGANA FRESH cosmetic products. The caring and moisturising wheat proteins contained in FRESH shampoo, FRESH conditioner and FRESH stay fresh undergo several purification steps in which any gluten present is removed.

What is the difference?
The RINGANA PACKS support the daily nutrition with phytochemicals from fruit and vegetables as well as fibre. A selected complex of bioavailable water- and fat-soluble vitamins and minerals ensures a balanced nutrient profile. The RINGANA PACKS provide the basis so to speak.
The RINGANA CAPS contain special, highly concentrated, bioactive ingredients and serve as a specific supplement for individual needs.

According to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), an adult can consume individual doses of 200 mg of caffeine per day (approximately 3 mg per kg of body weight). Up to 400 mg of caffeine can be safely consumed when distributed throughout the day.
For example, the caffeine content of a cup of espresso (approx. 80 mg per 60 ml) corresponds to the content in a RINGANAchi__.
Some RINGANA FRESH cosmetic products also contain caffeine.
The caffeine comes from organically grown coffee beans and provides the extra freshness kick. Caffeine stimulates microcirculation and reduces swelling; the skin is better supplied with oxygen and nutrients and is clearly refreshed. Caffeine is contained in the following products: FRESH sunscreen SPF 20, RINGANA SPORT go, FRESH eye serum & FRESH moisturiser for men.
Iodine is a trace element that is used as an essential nutrient for the formation of the body’s thyroid hormones. In Asia, where algae and seaweed are part of traditional cuisine, sufficient iodine is ingested through food. Europe, on the other hand, is an iodine-deficient area. Therefore, there is a need to iodine salt to ensure adequate intake.
According to the Austrian Agency for Health and Food Safety, the supply of iodine in Austria is also unsatisfactory from a less than 100 μg / day.
Due to their broad spectrum of activity, algae can be found in various RINGANA products. The raw materials are carefully checked for their nutritional composition and clarified with the manufacturer. None of the RINGANA products contain iodine-rich algae which exceed the value of 200 µg iodine per daily dose. This value was determined by the Federal Institute for Consumer Health Protection and the Veterinary Medicine in order not to exceed a total intake of 500 µg iodine per day in addition to normal food.
For RINGANA it has always been a matter of the utmost importance to manufacture products in a vegan, sustainable, fair and natural way without animal testing. Anything else would be incompatible with the philosophy of the company.
RINGANA products must also meet strict quality criteria. Every product must undergo a safety assessment, in which each individual ingredient in the planned concentration level is checked by experts in order to determine whether it is safe. In addition, RINGANA FRESH cosmetic products are subjected to skin compatibility tests carried out on volunteers by an external, certified institute.
Since 1999 all cosmetics manufactured in Austria have been subject to a general ban on animal testing (BGBl.Nr. 501/1989 in der Änderung von 1999 BGBl. Nr. 169/1999). The EU has also issued a regulation (EU Regulation 1223/2009) in which animal testing for cosmetic products in the EU is no longer permitted as from 2009.
However, these regulations only apply to products that were newly developed after the respective deadlines. This means that products can still be found on the shelf that have been tested on animals.
Furthermore, these regulations apply also in Austria and the EU. If you buy products that are manufactured outside the EU, pay close attention to the appropriate labelling if you want to avoid animal testing products.
Freedom from animal testing is guaranteed, among other things, by the following seals:
Ecocert, Cosmos, PETA, Leaping Bunny Seal, Vegan Flower, Natrue Seal, etc.
Experiments on animal models are carried out for cosmetics in order to be able to bring safe products on the market. This involves investigating whether certain skin irritations occur, e.g. burning during application in the eye area, development of rashes, eczema, inflammations, burns and much more.
In cosmetics, there are successful alternatives to animal testing that have been used for years to test the safety of new cosmetic raw materials or products. Instead of having to test substances on live animals, there are cell culture systems that can be used to investigate physiological interactions. Microorganisms are also used. Furthermore, there are also computer simulations in which the human metabolism, i.e. the path of the substance through the body, can be described in detail. In addition, animal experiments are often not necessarily significant, since the damage caused in the laboratory is not compatible to the real environmental conditions.
Today, new active ingredients and combinations are also being researched by means of skin compatibility tests on volunteers.
However, the situation is different in medical research. In this area, animal experiments are often still indispensable. The following values are determined: NOEL (no-observed-effect-level) Level and NOAEL (no-observed-adverse-effect-level) – these two values describe the toxicity of a raw material. The NOEL value describes the highest dose of a substance or material that can be used without observing a statistical significant effect.
The NOAEL value describes the greatest concentration or amount of a substance, found by experiment or observation, that causes no detectable adverse alteration of morphology, functional capacity, growth, development, or lifespan of the target organism under defined conditions of exposure. Many substances are tested on the animal model before they are released for human consumption/use in order to rule out hazardous substances that have a harmful effect on humans.
As already mentioned, raw materials for purely cosmetic applications are not allowed to be tested on animals in the EU.
Our drinks – currently RINGANAchi__, RINGANAdea__ and RINGANAisi__ – are produced in the chi__Factory in Schildbach (near Hartberg). These products are produced in a special production plant and filled into the bottles by our own bottling system. After quality control, the drink bottles are sorted into their respective packaging and prepared for dispatch in our factory in Hartberg or in the chi__ factory.
The production and filling of RINGANA PACKS, COMPLETE d-eat and RINGANA CAPS requires special mixing and filling systems. Therefore, this process is taken over by renowned contract manufacturers. RINGANA is responsible for the complete development of formulations and the purchase of raw materials and packaging materials. Contract manufacturers are audited annually by RINGANA Quality Management to ensure consistently high quality. Packaging of the capsules or sachets in the respective packaging is carried out by the RINGANA plant in Bratislava or Hartberg.
RINGANA dietary supplements are not medicines neither substitute for any professional medical advice or treatment for specific medical conditions. They are not intended to treat, cure or prevent any disease. People under medical treatment, people with health problems, pregnant women or nursing mothers should consult a doctor before taking any RINGANA dietary supplements.
Consequently, RINGANA products are designed for healthy people. Diabetics are therefore advised to take RINGANA products under medical supervision.
In the development of all RINGANA products, the highest attention is paid to good quality and good compatibility. However, as with any natural product, individual reactions to individual ingredients can occur. Possible allergic reactions to a product can however never be completely ruled out. Potential allergens can be introduced through various natural raw materials such as rose oil. RINGANA therefore recommends testing the tolerability of the products by applying a small amount of it to the arm and placing an anti-allergen plaster over it. If no redness or other skin reactions occur within 24-48 hours, an allergic reaction can very likely be ruled out, thus the product can be used.
In the case of known allergies, the labelling of the product should always be closely examined. For this purpose, the label should be read carefully and checked for potentially contained allergenic fragrances. These are marked with a ” ° ” at the end of the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients).
Can RINGANA products be used in the case of allergic skin problems?
In principle, RINGANA care products are formulated to be very well tolerated by the skin. All products are also tested by an external test laboratory for skin compatibility.
As always, some substances have the potential to trigger allergic reactions, so no general statement can be made about the compatibility of the products. If you have any concerns, please seek the advice of a doctor you trust.
SAFETY is a top priority at RINGANA. Only vitamins and minerals approved by the EU and rated as safe are used in RINGANA products. Each product complies with European legislation and the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) recommendations on quantities of vitamins and minerals.
Emulsions combine oils and water or water-soluble ingredients that generally are not miscible with each other. This makes it possible to take advantage of the benefits of both groups of substances – skin moisturization and the supply of lipids. Most RINGANA FRESH products are emulsions that can be further divided into:
Water-in-oil emulsions
Tiny droplets of water are enclosed in an oily phase. The first impression on the skin is therefore of a very rich formulation – the water-soluble ingredients are only released when spread. Water-in-oil emulsions are waterproof, support the natural skin functions as well as the lipid and moisture film of the skin and counteract dehydration over a long period of time. Waterproof emulsions that support the skin, restore the hydrolipid film and thus the natural skin functions are restored and effectively prevent dehydration.

Oil-in-water emulsions
In an aqueous environment, oils are enclosed as single droplets or in a network (microcell emulsions). Oil-in-water emulsions create a very light sensation on the skin and provide intensive moisture. At the same time, the nourishing oil component remains protectively on the skin.

Additionally, in some products, active ingredients are packed in a transport system to make them particularly well available for the skin (Activcell emulsion). Plant lecithin is used for this purpose, which encloses substances in tiny structures, transports them to the site of action and there releases them again.

Not all RINGANA products are emulsions. FRESH body wash deliberately shows its high content of nourishing oils.
ECOCERT / COSMOS
Many RINGANA cosmetic products are certified according to the ECOCERT and the COSMOS standard. The standards include, among other criteria:
– To give preference to renewable resources over resources of any other origin, particularly in regards to petrochemical resources.
– To give preference to the use of ingredients from organic farming, best guarantee for the respect of natural values.
– To give preference to environmentally friendly processing methods that have the lowest pollution repercussion on the environment.
– To add criteria on the environment impact (biodegradability, ecotoxicity) during the valuation of ingredients from natural origin.
– To be transparent towards the consumer by using a mode of communication and phraseology, which are not misleading
The certification, ECOCERT or COSMOS, is specified for each RINGANA products on the information printed on the respective labels or on our website www.ringana.com.
Ecolabels
The RINGANA FRESH soap carries the Austrian Ecolabel, making RINGANA the first cosmetics manufacturer (for end consumers) to receive this award.
In the cosmetics industry, unlike for detergents and cleaning agents, there are hardly any legal requirements to reduce the harmful impact on the environment.
In accordance with the regulations of chemical legislation, the degradability of detergent substances and environmentally hazardous products are not required to be labelled. The EU Commission has therefore developed EU Ecolabel criteria for “Rinse-off cosmetic products”. The Austrian Ecolabel is also based as well on these criteria. In line with the precautionary principle, however, ecological and health requirements are more strictly imposed than through the EU Ecolabel.
LACON
The RINGANA FRESH soap is certified organic and is manufactured according to the guidelines “organic production, section for organic cosmetics” of the advisory board for organic production. Our soap has been tested by LACON inspection body for compliance with the organic guidelines and is certified by the control code AT-BIO-402.
LEFO
Our RINGANA dietary supplements are tested by the renowned German LEFO Institute which ensures, among other things, the correct dosage and correct labelling. Continuous analyses of the products guarantee the high quality of each single one.
ISO 22716:2007.
Cosmetics – Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), guidelines to good manufacturing practices RINGANA cosmetic products are manufactured in accordance with GMP. Compliance with these regulations is constantly monitored by external audits.
The Cologne List® is a public platform launched by the Olympiastützpunkt Rheinland aiming at minimising doping risk in nutritional supplements.
Nutrition supplements which have been tested for anabolic androgenic steroids (prohormones) and stimulants are listed by the Cologne List®. The analyses are carried out at the Centre for Preventive Doping Research at the German Sports College Cologne.
The Cologne List® thus stands for security, transparency, minimised doping risk and clean sport. The listing of a product on the Cologne List® is voluntary. Each manufacturer can decide to contribute his part to fair sport. In order for RINGANA products to receive the label with the Cologne List® Logo, each charge is tested for anabolic steroids and stimulants.
With the listed nutritional supplements, the risk for athletes to consume doping substances is visibly minimised. However, with the countless and ever new “doping substances” and also the presence of impurities during the manufacturing process which cannot be excluded, it is not possible to guarantee a 100% level of safety.
Publication
The publication of a product on the Cologne List® does not necessarily imply that a product is free of doping substances, but the risk of doping is significantly minimised.
Since the analysis for steroids and stimulants may require several weeks, sometimes a charge may not be included in the list simply because the analysis has not yet been completed. As soon as an analysis result for the relevant lot is available, the charge number will immediately be published on the Cologne List®.
Fresh is the hallmark of RINGANA. RINGANA produces freshly and delivers to the customer as quickly as possible. If a charge is not listed, this does not mean that this charge has been tested positive for steroids and stimulants. It can unfortunately happen that the analysis result is still pending while the product is shipped “too fresh”.
The EU organic Regulation is the legal basis for regulation of production and labelling of organic food (food supplements are legally seen as a “subgroup” of food)
According to this regulation, the addition of minerals and vitamins to organic products is prohibited (on the exception, for example, for baby food, where an addition is legally prescribed). Our dietary supplements, however, also contain additional minerals, which is not permitted for organic products. In addition, it is stipulated that all agricultural ingredients must be in organic quality: whereas not all of our ingredients, such as extremolytes, are available in organic quality.
In summary, this means that our products cannot be certified organic. We use numerous organic raw materials in our products, but we are not allowed to label them as “organic” on the packaging or advertise them as such in any other way.
Does RINGANA use preservatives?
The cosmetic products of RINGANA are characterized by their freshness. We consciously avoid the use of synthetic preservatives, which are subject of critical discussion. Ingredients listed as preservatives in Annex V of the Cosmetics Regulation (Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 November 2009 on cosmetic products) are also not used, i.e. “‘preservatives’ means substances which are exclusively or mainly intended to inhibit the development of micro-organisms in the cosmetic product;”
RINGANA combines various strategies to protect cosmetic products from microbial contamination by making the environmental conditions in the product as unfavourable as possible for potential and undesirable microorganisms.
Products that are made entirely of oil or products with a very low water content, the question of microbial contamination does not arise as: “Without water, there can be no life”. In these products, it is more important to use antioxidants to ensure the stability of the oils. RINGANA uses high-quality antioxidants such as tocopherols and tocotrienols.
On the other hand, a cosmetic product containing water which is not microbiologically stable, is a perfect breeding ground opportunity for microorganisms.
An extremely important factor for the shelf life of the product is a clean and germ-free manufacturing process.
Another important aspect is the packaging, which represents the first external barrier of the products. The innovative Airless-containers prevent the entry of air (as well as any microorganisms) and consequently help to protect the product from microbial contamination.
Furthermore, the pH value of the formulation is also important as Bacteria and fungi need a certain pH to develop undisturbedly. RINGANA products are designed in such a way that the pH value of the cosmetic products is adapted to the optimum pH value of the skin (approx. 5.5). The lower the pH value, the more difficult it is for harmful germs to grow.
Like other organisms, bacteria and fungi need vitamins and minerals to grow. Metal ions in RINGANA products are bound by complexing agents (such as citric acid) which render them unavailable to the germs. Their growth is effectively slowed down.
In addition, RINGANA uses multifunctional ingredients that, in addition to their main effect (e.g. as a skin-care agent), hinder the growth and proliferation of microorganisms.
A tip for those who have used conventional hair care so far: Conventional conditioners can form deposits onto the hair and these parts are not necessarily removed with the next hair washing. The conversion from conventional products to natural cosmetic products can therefore take some time.
In order to bring the active agents of the RINGANA FRESH conditioner to the damaged areas of the hair, a relatively short application time is required. In our experience, a few minutes (3-5 minutes) are sufficient, although the ideal time can vary individually.
The rinsing time is of a much greater importance, and it should be kept rather shortly. Natural cosmetic active agents only bind loosely to the hair and are washed off again if rinsed too extensively – the care effect might then be too weak. Another positive effect of the RINGANA FRESH conditioner – no permanent layers are built up on the hair and with the next hair wash any residual product deposits from the last application are easily removed.
The colour of the FRESH scrub comes from the diverse ingredients used such as pomegranate and Luffa peeling particles, Matcha green tea and chlorophyllin. The colour can fade over time, especially when expose to light. However, the colour change does not represent a loss of quality.
The colour of the RINGANA SPORT go is determined by the extracts of arnica, chilli and ginger. The colour of these ingredients can lose its intensity over time and exposure to light. The change in colour does not represent any loss of its effect but is merely an optical appearance.
Shake before use, apply as needed and rub in gently. The massage loosens the muscles, relaxes tensions and allows active ingredients to be absorbed in an optimal way. Wash hands immediately after use, preferably with cold water and soap. Avoid contact of the active agents in your eyes and mucous membranes.
The intensity effects of the RINGANA SPORT go varies in speed and strength depending on the current condition of the skin such as the care products previously used, skin blood perfusion, external heat application as well as personal daily physical condition, Therefore, we cannot give a general advice on the amount of the product that should be used.
Do not cover applied skin with bandages, compresses or similar as this may cause an uncomfortable burning sensation.
Before covering the treated areas with clothing, let the gel dry for a few minutes. It is not recommended to use light-coloured garments and towels directly on the applied area, as the carotenoids contained in the product may stain through perspiration or humidity.
Avoid heat-inducing activities such as bathing, showering, sauna or using a hot water bag as these can intensify the burning sensation. The application of the product before a sport activity also develops a very intense burning effect. Such a use should be carefully tested before.
Having the PACKS in sachets is necessary for reasons of durability.
It protects the contents from contact with moisture and oxygen, which would impair the vital substance content, and also allows an easy simple dosing of the products. The sachet foil is entirely free of aluminium but is made of paper with a thin barrier layer.
RINGANA is constantly striving on becoming more sustainable. A major goal is to develop a compostable (and aluminium-free) foil, which can also be used to package food. To this end, ongoing developments with independent research institutions are taking place on an ongoing basis.
The term microbiota (skin flora) means, among other microorganisms, the predominant bacterial community which reside on the skin. From birth, millions and millions of bacteria are colonized on the skin and live in symbiosis with us. We supply them with vital nutrients, in return they prevent harmful (pathogenic) germs from colonizing the skin and thus making the skin surface less vulnerable. These bacteria, which are not harmful to us, are also called commensals. If the microbiota is disturbed, this can trigger the irritation of the skin which give rise to redness, dryness and impurities.
The new FRESH tonic calm has a supporting effect on the microbiota and helps to restore the natural balance of the skin flora. Consequently, harmful bacteria are deprived of the possibility of spreading and damaging the skin.
RINGANA FRESH stay fresh was designed for adults and children from the age of three for a gentle cleaning and care after going to the toilet. The composition of FRESH stay fresh have been selected for the needs of this specific type of skin.
The skin of children from 3 years and adults differs from that of babies. Cosmetic products designed for babies should therefore contain as few ingredients as possible. RINGANA products contain many exotic, exclusive plant ingredients and these new recently developed ingredients have often insufficient scientific data available of the effects on babies.
RINGANA FRESH stay fresh was designed for adults and children from the age of three, it is therefore not intended for babies.
The ingredients of the FRESH lip balm tend to crystallize when stored for a longer period of time or under a cooler temperature. This is a natural process that does not affect the quality.
The FRESH lip balm becomes thicker due to the crystallization formed and is therefore somewhat more difficult to squeeze it out of the tube. This can be solved by warming the product (e.g. in your trouser pocket, under warm water).
Storage instructions: Store at room temperature (avoid low temperate storage).
The formation of air bubbles can be formed during the filing process which prevents the pump from working correctly even if the pump is pressed several times, especially at low temperatures. In such case, it is helpful to warm the FRESH lip balm briefly (e.g. under warm water, in the trouser pocket). Alternatively, the bottom of the container can also be tapped vigorously on the counter to remove air bubbles. (it is also a good stress release at the same time 😉)
Fresh in our sense means the rejection of synthetic preservatives and a constant, continuous production in small batches in order to minimize storage times as much as possible while still guaranteeing constant availability. This creates the possibility to use active ingredients which would normally lose their effect in storage cosmetics unless using an excessive amount of preservatives.
Production does not start with the customer’s order, but takes place continuously in small quantities which, experience has shown, are sold in the shortest possible time.
An example: Each RINGANA product is produced, filled, packaged (no assembly line work) and shipped fresh 2 to 3 times a month according to the demand – in comparison, a conventional industrial cosmetic product is produced once a year and must be therefore preserved accordingly as it is often stored for a very long time.
Does “freshness (fresh)” only mean without synthetic preservatives?
No. RINGANA products use consciously natural and plant-based active ingredients. We do not use mineral oil-based ingredients, stabilizers, PEG emulsifiers, formaldehyde, silicones, nanoparticles or other environmentally harmful substances. Furthermore, no animal-derived raw materials or genetically modified organisms are used.
Do you have a product particularly for men? Yes, FRESH moisturiser for men.
Many products from the FRESH cosmetic line are suitable for both men and women. For example, our two face tonics, FRESH tonic calm and FRESH tonic pure, are the perfect start of your care routine and ensure a radiant skin. Men’s skin, however, differs from women’s skin in some aspects. The skin of the former is slightly thicker, oily and is subject frequently to strain (e.g. by shaving). Therefore, care products for men are lighter formulated, rich in soothing agents and counteract excessive sebum production. These characteristics are found in our FRESH moisturiser for men.
“How do the colours of the RINGANA FRESH ADDS come about? Are these the ingredients or were the products additionally coloured? If so, why?”
The colours of the FRESH ADDS are created on the basis of the ingredients.
– effect: The blue colour comes from the copper-containing active ingredients: Bis (tripeptide-1), copper acetate (anti-wrinkle copper peptide) and copper lysinate/ prolinate (wrinkle-reducing active ingredient).
– glow: The yellow colour is the result of the overall composition, but the main responsible ingredient is glucosyl hesperidin (microcirculation-stimulating bioflavonoid)
– repair: The green colour comes from the chlorophyll, on the label “CI 75810 (chlorophyll).
For an even and long-lasting tan, apply RINGANA FRESH scrub for a peeling of the skin from time to time. By doing so, dead skin cells are removed thoroughly.
– Apply RINGANA FRESH after sun evenly to the whole body.
– Wash your hands afterwards.
– A sun-kissed complexion is only visible after approximately 4 days of use due to the gentle tanning of the active substance Erythrulose.
– The even, streak-free and gentle tan lasts few days and disappears with the natural skin renewal.
– WARNING: A base tan is no substitute for good sun protection! Even if your base tan gives you a feeling that you can be in the sun without protection, a sunscreen must definitely be applied!
